Spousal sponsorship

Moving abroad and being separated from your loved ones is never easy. However, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) prioritizes family reunification, which is why spousal sponsorship applications are processed with the utmost importance at Canadian Visa Offices.

The Canadian government’s goal is to unite families, and the spousal sponsorship program remains one of the most in-demand immigration streams under the family class. Recently, the processing time for spousal sponsorship has been reduced from 26 months to just 12 months for 80% of applications, both for in-Canada and outside of Canada cases.

To immigrate to Canada under the spousal sponsorship category, the spouse, common-law partner, or conjugal partner must be sponsored by a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. If applying for spousal sponsorship outside of Canada, once approved, Canadian immigration authorities will issue a Spouse Visa (confirmation of permanent residence). Upon landing in Canada, the applicant becomes a permanent resident and must enter before the visa expires.

If you are applying for spousal sponsorship within Canada, the application is processed first, and once approved, the applicant’s status changes from temporary to permanent resident. Additionally, spousal sponsorship within Canada offers the opportunity for the sponsored individual to apply for an Open Work Permit.

Our Canadian immigration services offer a variety of options, including Full Representation, Final Review, and Do-It-Yourself packages. If you have questions, feel free to book an initial consultation with one of our immigration consultants in Toronto.

If spousal sponsorship isn’t an option for you at this time, you may also explore other temporary residence programs, such as the Visitor Visa, to facilitate your stay.

Super Visa For Parents

The Super Visa Program allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents to visit Canada as long-term visitors. Successful applicants are granted a multi-entry visitor visa valid for up to two years at a time, with an expiry date of up to 10 years. This eliminates the need to renew the visitor visa every six months. To apply for the Parent and Grandparent Super Visa, you must be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and meet certain eligibility requirements.

Our immigration advisors are here to assist you throughout the application process to ensure a smooth entry into Canada. Depending on individual circumstances, your parent(s) or grandparent(s) may be eligible for a multiple-entry visa for up to 10 years. With the Parent and Grandparent Super Visa, they can visit family in Canada for up to two years without the need for frequent renewals. Immigration officers will consider several factors when deciding on your application, including your ties to your home country, the purpose of your visit, financial situation, and the stability of your home country.

Applicants must also provide an invitation letter from the host in Canada, proof that the child or grandchild in Canada meets a minimum income threshold, a written statement of financial support, valid Canadian medical insurance coverage for at least one year, and an immigration medical exam.

Our Canadian immigration services offer various packages, including Full Representation, Do-It-Yourself, and Peace of Mind options. If you have any questions or need assistance, you can book a consultation with one of our immigration consultants in Toronto.
